“A Song’s Embrace” Concert on Sunday afternoon, November 13th, was an extraordinary event with an exciting and participatory audience of about 450 people in attendance. The original goal was to bring Dr. Deborah Caldwell (SSHS Class of 2009) back to Siloam Springs to perform the Hummel Trumpet Concerto with a sizable chamber orchestra and a great conductor, and then surround her with lots and lots of FABULOUS music. Mission accomplished! Added to this high event were to also feature another former SSHS student, Christopher Barnett (SSHS Class of 2011), who had composed a beautiful full orchestrated piece, The Blue Mesa. Again, Mission accomplished! Both FEATURED former SSHS students received well-deserved standing ovations for their flawless performances.
